The 17th Century Red Lion at Margaretting is the quintessential 'Olde Worlde' English Pub. Located just off the A12, by car only 10 minutes from Junction 28 of the M25 and approximately 3 miles from Chelmsford, good food, real ales and fine wine along with a warm welcome and relaxing ambience await all visitors.

The Red Lion has recently been sympathetically refurbished, the non smoking restaurant decorated in light coffee and cream colours whilst the bar area is now in cosy, warm shades of burgundy and aubergine.

The all new seasonal menu highlights locally sourced produce and the carefully chosen wine list complements the food as does the selection of real ales and lagers.

The restaurant seats up to 40 and is available for private functions, additional seating for 30 is provided in the bar area. There is a very large garden with picnic benches and a play area for children.
Food Serving times: Monday to Saturday 12.00am to 2.30pm,  & 6.00pm to 9.30pm, Sunday 12 noon to 8.00pm
