The beautiful 17th Century Red Lion at Margaretting is a traditional English Pub, located just off the A12, by car only 10 minutes from Junction 28 of the M25 and approximately 3 miles from Chelmsford. Good food, real ales and fine wine along with a warm welcome and relaxing ambiance await all visitors.

The Red Lion intimate bar area is decorated in cosy, warm shades of burgundy and aubergine and in contrast the restaurant is lighter in refreshing shades of coffee and cream colours. Both areas are ideal for savouring the delicious new autumn menu featuring locally sourced produce, a carefully chosen wine list compliments the food along with the selection of real ales  and lagers.

The restaurant seats up to 40 and is available for private functions, additional seating for 30 is provided in the bar area. There is a very large garden with picnic benches for al fresco dining.
